Betting on Myself: Two Years Building EuphoriaTech Group
A founder’s recap — what worked, what didn’t, and 15 blunt lessons from year two
Welcome to 22nd Century Frontier — your strategic edge in innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship. 🚀
EuphoriaTech Group recently reached its two-year milestone. I want to use the moment to recap the journey, share key takeaways, and offer practical tips from what has been a relentless, instructive, and rewarding run.
I started EuphoriaTech in September 2023 while working in the City of London at the intersection of venture capital investing, strategy consulting, and corporate venturing. My day role involved working with corporate clients, private equity and venture capital funds, accelerators, and startup/scaleups across the US, Europe, and Asia. Nights and weekends were for the company I was building.
For months, I ran a double life: ~40 hours for my employer and 40+ hours building EuphoriaTech, piece by piece — validating the idea, trialing offers, and onboarding clients.
After nine months, in June 2024, I decided to go all in — to bet on myself and my abilities to perform. I submitted my three-month resignation notice, and on 1 September 2024, I began pursuing my entrepreneurial dream with 100% of my time.
It wasn’t my first entrepreneurial venture, but it was my first in the UK — and it demanded everything I had.
What EuphoriaTech is today
EuphoriaTech Group currently brings together three companies:
EuphoriaTech Ventures — a venture studio partnering with people with technical backgrounds to co-build and run companies together.
EuphoriaTech Advisory — a strategy consultancy providing strategic insights, operational expertise, and growth strategies.
EuphoriaTech Media — a B2B social media agency creating innovative content strategies and sharing stories that connect with global professional audiences.
Key milestones from the last 12 months:
PeakMinder official launch — Nov 2024. Our first EuphoriaTech Ventures portfolio company (co-founded with Martin Yanev). PeakMinder is an EdTech platform helping professionals and students pass certification exams — 1,300+ practice tests across 80+ providers.
EuphoriaTech Group official launch — Jan 2025.
22nd Century Frontier launch — Jan 2025. A business intelligence platform for entrepreneurs, executives and investors focused on frontier innovation and emerging technologies.
26K+ followers across social media channels.
10+ corporate partnerships and a growing pipeline of projects.
Those headlines matter. But the day-to-day lessons — the ones that actually move the needle — are what I want to share.
15 blunt lessons from year two:
Whatever you decide to do — BE ALL IN. Even if you’re working for a company, pursuing an entrepreneurial dream, or turning a hobby into a career, don’t half-ass it. Be all in.
TAKE ACTION — talk is cheap. Once you decide what you’re going to do, act.
“Show me your friends, and I will show you your future.” Surround yourself with people who are ahead of you—people who are where you want to be. Seek those on the same mission. Some people from your past will naturally distance themselves, and that’s fine. Many new people attracted to what you’re doing will join your life. People are relevant for different parts of the journey.
Be ready to PAY THE PRICE. Want a 32–40 hour work week and immediate greatness? Forget it. Everyone has 24 × 7 = 168 hours to play the game of life. I track what I do and report progress daily. For example, my average work week over the last 52 weeks was 79:59:04. I use Clockify to record time across projects and hold myself accountable. Whatever isn’t measured rarely gets done.
In the beginning it’s all HUSTLE. You may not need lots of money to start, but you must be ready to give 110% of your effort.
WHO YOU KNOW. Invest time in relationships with the right people. Aim to speak with decision-makers—don’t waste time on those who can’t move things forward.
DISTRIBUTION is everything. Whether you sell services, products, or ideas, you need great distribution to reach customers.
Things will take longer and cost more than anticipated.
THINGS WILL GO WRONG—professionally and personally. Build tough skin. Expect discomfort and learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Problems will come from everywhere; be ready.
MOTIVATION comes from within. If you need external motivation to do something, forget it. You should be fired up by the thought of pursuing your dream and making it real.
MOMENTUM matters. Build it and protect it. Momentum feels like a force that makes you unstoppable. Don’t lose it. For me, habits create momentum—even when they’re uncomfortable.
DEFENSE. Companies and people will try to hurt your business. The bigger you grow, the more often it will happen. Be ready to defend it.
LIFE IS FAIR. Everyone has different cards, but we all get the same 24 hours. Forget the victim mindset or any sense of entitlement — life doesn’t owe you anything. Everything is up to you.
POSITIVITY. No matter what’s happening, believe the best opportunities are ahead. Play the long game and endure what comes.
ADAPTABILITY is vital. This may be one of the best skills I’ve used. Shift the route when necessary, but never change the destination.
These takeaways reflect my thinking and experience as of 03 October 2025. We evolve, we adapt, and we keep moving forward.
What’s next?
In the months ahead, you’ll see our next moves.
Stay tuned — the journey is just getting started!
Thanks Petar. Excellent advice and extremely insightful. Really glad to know that it's also almost expected for everything to go wrong. 😅
